1st Decade

Foundation Period

1967
Founded the factory in Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province, with authorized capital of Baht 10 million.
1968
Started manufacturing electric wire and aluminum cables and supplying them to electricity authorities nationwide.
1970
Expanded its business into copper casting and rolling to produce copper cables in response to market demand.
1975
Obtained Thai Industrial Standards certification for aluminum and copper electric wire products from the Thai Industrial Standards Institute, Ministry of Industry.
1976
Listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
2nd Decade

Expansion Stage

1978
Increased its authorized capital to Baht 42 million to expand production lines for telephone cables and began installing telephone cable manufacturing machinery.
1979
Started exporting cable products to Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
1983
Installed new machinery to produce a complete range of telephone cable products.
1985
Produced a full range of telephone cables used in Thailand and obtained industrial product certification from TISI.
1987
Expanded production lines to electronic cables and obtained UL certification for flexible cords from the United States.
3rd Decade

Standardization Stage

1988
Increased its authorized capital from Baht 42 million to Baht 100 million.
1990
Constructed a new factory on 140 rai of land located on Suwinthawong Road, Sala Daeng Sub-district, Bang Nam Priao District, Chachoengsao Province.
1992
Officially commenced operations at the new factory and initiated research and trial production of fire-resistant cables.
1994
Converted to a public company under the name Charoong Thai Wire & Cable Public Company Limited under the trademark CTW.
1996
Achieved ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system.
1997
Jointly invested in the establishment of Siam Fiber Optics with authorized capital of Baht 160 million to produce optical fiber cables.
4th Decade

Development Stage

1998
Developed and manufactured 69 kV high-voltage power cable.
1999
Developed and manufactured 115 kV high-voltage power cable.
2002
Increased its authorized capital to Baht 1,999.29 million.
2003
Successfully developed fire-resistant cables and obtained certification under ISO 9001:2000.
2013
Obtained ISO 14001 certification for environmental management systems.
2018
Obtained occupational health and safety management system certifications under OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001.
2020
Developed and manufactured 230 kV high-voltage power cable.
